We recently caught up with cognitive neuroscientist Dr Jane Aspell for a chat about her research into interoception and the insights they can provide us. Here are five things we learnt.

This book is different from the usual books about diets, or lifestyle changes, and it's different in many ways. It is much more illustrative, much more engaging and easy to read. At no point do you get bored by the content, and at no point do you feel like putting it down! If you are even slightly interested in health and how our food and environment affects us and you are keen to learn how you can feel better and have more energy then this book is for you.

A book which pulls together information from across the medical spectrum this book is a great example of how we should look at healthcare. If you want information in a format that's appealing a language that's understandable and examples that clarify the most complex of medical ideas, this is the book for you. But the greatest thing about this book is its underlying message, health is achievable using the most basic tools / concepts, no need for crazy diets, random tech gizmos, etc.

This book is packed with so much useful information that is easy to action. It really opened my eyes to some of the many factors that can impact our health that the mainstream doesn't talk about. Since implementing just a couple I am feeling awesome. Highly recommended for anyone looking to focus on themselves and improve their health.
